The elementary students take part each year in the church services at Portland, Brunswick, and Freeport SDA churches. Attached you will find a short video clip of this year's activities. A special thank you to Abigail Cancel (8th grade pastor) for preparing the sermonette and speaking eloquently at each service. In addition, thank you to the students and parents of each participant. Learning to lead out in worship is a skill that Pine Tree Academy teachers want to foster. This is an invaluable component in the Bible curriculum at Pine Tree Academy.

Pine Tree Academy welcomed Greater Boston Academy to its campus on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Academy students were invited to play two spirited basketball games! It was a fun way to involve our sister academy in some extracurricular activities.
On Wednesday, March 16, 2016, the Kingsway College Aerials (Gymnastics Team) visited Pine Tree Academy. The theme of their show was "Be Still." Many of the skits focused on God's redemption and how we should put aside distractions in our lives and "Be Still." During several parts in the program, PTA students were allowed to come and demonstrate some of the skills that were being taught and displayed. Mr. Krueger even got in on the action! The elementary students enjoyed a day of snow tubing on Mach 11, 2016. Although the temperatures have been uncharacteristically warm, there was still snow!
On February 27, 2016, the PTA Breakers Boys' Basketball Team received the Class D sportsmanship award. This award was presented in Portland, Maine. Pine Tree Academy is proud to support a team with integrity and honor. Organized sports should bring out these qualities in our young people. Coach, Trevor Schlisner, emphasizes the importance of a positive attitude on and off the court. The spiritual growth of these students is his number one concern. |
