I walked into Pine Tree today to say goodbye to all my loved teachers and staff before heading off to CT! I made my way around to different classrooms, where hugs, prayers, and tears were exchanged. I understood how heartbreaking this was for students, but I realized today, what a toll it's had on our teachers. The teachers who don't just grade, but clarify. The teachers who don't just talk, but listen. The teachers who don't just teach, but love! Thank you, faculty, for doing everything for your students' success... even when miles separate us.
I've been cheated time at Pine Tree... (Mrs. Dayen pls let me stay back #joke....sorta) But even with that cut short, I've already gained more than I could ask for at PTA. Dear students, I miss you and love you! You are in my prayers. I'll meet you at the Tree of Life.... ha! Hopefully before that :) Oh, and very Happy 30th Birthday, Mr. Krueger! :D For the past four years, Pine Tree Academy has been hosting a concert with the Coastal Winds (Freeport's Community Band) and our student band in the month of February. This year the concert was performed on February 25 in the school gym at 7:00 pm. There was a good turnout of about 150 people in the audience. Every year it seems to grow. A few crowd favorites included, Tijuana Bass and Get Smart. The wide variety of instruments filled up the gym with powerful and emotional sounds that brought the community together. Our hope is to unite our town through music and education. “Music has the power to unite us. It proves that by working together, we can create something truly beautiful.” - Pinchas Zuckerman
