Spring Banquet

Hello, I am Kelsey Lemieux coming to you live from Pine Tree Academy here in Freeport, Maine where we have recently had our annual spring banquet. Our day started with dinner for the early birds who caught the worm at Panera on 3/14/2021 at 5:00 pm. The night owls decided to come out afterward and meet us at the movie theater from 6:00 pm until around 9:00. At the movies, we all acquired free popcorn and soda. We started by playing a game where we would find people who had the same answers to common "getting to know you questions." Next, we played who is most likely to battle the classes using stickers to see who in each class could get the most stickers on one person. At the theater, after the games had settled down, we sat down to watch the movie. The movie was called National Treasure and It was about a historian and code breaker named Ben Gates who has, with the help of his family, been searching for treasure his whole life, a treasure that the people were uncertain whether was real or only a legend. To discover more, he joins an expedition with Ian Howe. Ben finds a new clue leading to Washington DC and the Declaration of Independence but Howe betrays him in an attempt to keep the treasure for himself. Ben goes into a race against time and his fellow man. At several points during this movie, a specific code word was said and the members of the Student Association would throw out chocolates to the students.  All together, banquet was not quite the same but it was fun and we were together and that’s all that matters.
